We are seeking a Contract-to-Hire Tax Accountant (full or part time) to join our growing tax team to help drive this mission forward. As a Tax Accountant, you will work with clients to gather required documentation, prepare business and individual tax returns and workpapers, and clear review notes to drive projects to completion in a timely manner. Areas of Responsibility Communicate with clients to request information, answer questions, and update on the status of their work Prepare tax deliverables efficiently, accurately, and timely Meet or exceed production and quality goals set by management Identify and help execute on opportunities to improve team and client communication, processes, and collaboration Measures of Success Timeliness and accuracy of tax deliverables Production and quality goals as set by management Expectations for Remote Work Clean, quiet video background Business casual attire for client interactions “Core” hours overlapping with other team members to collaborate efficiently Accurate and up-to-date time sheet You’re a good fit for Red Bike if: You’re an exceptional communicator who puts client experience front and center You have a deep desire to help businesses grow and prosper with smart tax and finance strategy You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can multitask, prioritize, and organize your work autonomously You take ownership of your work and your clients and drive projects to completion Are “analytically creative” and take time to understand client’s tax situation, form insights, and recommend courses of action Are a continuous learner who is committed to ongoing learning and application of best practices and latest updates in tax, tax strategy, and technology You want a career and long-term client and team relationships, not a job Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s in accounting from an accredited college or university Minimum 3 years experience preparing corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns and multistate returns. Trust experience a plus.
