Job Title: Targets and Threats Analyst Location : Huntsville, AL Canvas, Inc. provides services to a diverse group of customers in the areas of Test and Evaluation, Engineering Services, Program & Acquisition Management, and Product Integration. We are currently seeking a full-time Targets and Threats SME to join our team. Job Description: Canvas is currently seeking a qualified candidate to support the 780th Test Squadron on the TMAS II contract at Eglin AFB in Florida. The 780th Test Squadron has the responsibility to provide support for test events worldwide and is composed of diverse flights overseeing testing of all state-of-the art weapon systems. Under the guidance of the 780th Test Squadron, Joint Test Force Director, the individual will serve as a Targets and Threats Engineer in support of laboratory, ground, and flight test efforts of an ACAT 1D acquisition program. The individual will serve as a focal point for synchronizing test efforts across multiple agencies and geographically separated locations, providing critical information to senior leadership to facilitate rapid and concise decision making. The successful candidate will aid in the developments of test plans, utilizing their knowledge of aerial targets, electronic attack, mission planning, ranges, doctrine, and weapons to ensure test objectives are met while minimizing program risk. He or She will assist in executing test events, providing expert advice to address contingencies while ensuring safety and security thresholds are maintained. When testing is complete, the candidate will analyze data and provide recommendations to the JTF Director to ensure cost and schedule plans are adhered to. Finally, working with the prime contractor and program office, he or she will monitor equipment status to ensure critical test assets are at the right location at the right time and in the correct configuration base on test planning documentation. Required Experience & Skills: Op test plans and reports for ground and flight test events. Forecast test assets and range requirements. Assist in the development and integration of unique test assets onto target aircraft. Coordinate target configurations and capabilities to support flight test. Intergrade with program offices and prime contractors. Coordinate logistical efforts related to test equipment. Assist in the facility improvement process for program related infrastructure. Attend program meeting both locally and throughout CONUS. Manage electronic attack pods for the 96TW. Identify range instrumentation requirements. Prepare test plans for Government review . Education and Experience: Must be familiar with Air Force and Navy test processes and regulations. Must be familiar with DoD acquisition enterprise. Must be knowledgeable in DT/OT processes. Must be familiar with ranges, aircraft, aircrew, data, infrastructure, and safety constraints associated with developmental and operational flight test. Must be analytical, methodical, and detail-oriented and can communicate in oral and written form. Must also be able to work as part of a team and can prioritize and manage their work to achieve outcomes. A Master's degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience is required (A Bachelor's degree plus 8 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a master's degree ) Required Security Level : Secret clearance All applicants will receive an acknowledgement that their application has been received.
