What you'll do: * Implement servers, virtual machines, applications and system appliances * Microsoft Windows Active Directory management * Evaluate technology needs and make recommendations consistent with IT standards * Take part in the design, architecture, implementation and maintenance of technology projects * Monitor and maintain critical IT systems * Provide support for servers, PCs, peripherals, system appliances, OS and application software * Provide administration for access, permissions, and file system integrity * Manage patching solutions for OS and software applications * Implement and maintain server data backup processes, both hardware and software * Assist with the management of computer virus protection * Work with IT management and plant staff to define and implement projects * Interact with vendors and consultants * Document new and existing technologies and assist with training and instruction * Weekly 24 hours on-call * Travel to other locations to provide onsite expertiseWhat you need to have: * Bachelor's degree Information Technology, Computers, or related experience with a focus systems infrastructure * 4+ years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of server hardware and software platforms, PC hardware and software support, general networking, Windows Server platforms (2008 R2 through 2019), and VMware * Good knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite, PowerShell, security architecture, databases and applications * Advanced knowledge of computer security and networking, the OSI model, TCPUPD, and TCP Ports * Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally * MCSAMSCE certification, preferredWho We Are: * Global fortune 500 packaging company with 109 manufacturing facilities in North and South America, Europe, and Asia. * A leading supplier of sustainable metal and rigid packaging solutions for consumer goods products for food, beverage, health care, garden, home, personal care, and beauty products. * Trusted by America's most respected brands, our reputation is based on a foundation of quality, excellence, and unsurpassed technical expertise. * We pride ourselves on being a solution-based partner to our customers and work hard to earn their business every day. * America's largest metal food packaging producer. * A company that strives toward sustainability by reducing our carbon footprint, selecting like-minded suppliers, and providing recyclable products. * Silgan Containers has set sustainability targets through 2030 to source more renewable energy, reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, and divert our waste from landfill to foster environmental stewardship.
