During the 2023-2024 school year, RMP is driving after five big goals: 1. Going Green on the Colorado School Performance Framework 2. 90% Student Persistence 3. 95% Daily Attendance 4. Fully Enrolled by October Count 5. Academic Goals - Elementary: Pre-K Students show 1 year of growth - Elementary: Kinder through 2nd Grade Students Grow 1.25 years in ELA and Math - Elementary: 40% of 3rd through 5th Grade students meet their Millionaire Goal (1 million words read) - Middle School: 40% of 6th through 8th Grade Students meet their Millionaire Goal (2 million words read) - High School: 100% College Acceptance Each member of the organization plays a part in achieving these goals. School-based staff members will work towards 2 or 3 metrics that are aligned to both their individual roles AND the Big 5. These metrics vary by position and are subject to change. Position Pay $4,442, to be divided by coaches and determined before the season. Season Regular Season is Aug-OctIf the team makes the postseason, the season will go into Nov. SUMMARY of ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Follows the rules and regulations of the school and league of participation. Attend mandatory preseason rules meetings. Attend post-season coaches' meetings. Meet with the Athletic Director regularly throughout the season to discuss progress. Time-sensitive communication with the Athletic Director. Utilize provided development opportunities provided by the Athletic Director and Network Athletic Director. Organize, schedule, and supervise practice sessions (min. 2x/week) Communicate any practice changes to the Athletic Director. Manage staff of assistant coaches and any managers. Supervise and be responsible for the equipment in your sport including handing out and collecting uniforms. Responsible for communication and dissemination of information to players, families, and the broader school community as needed related to practice schedules, tryout information, and any other relevant program information. Maintains appropriate supervision of his/her program at all times (locker rooms, practices, events, bus rides, etc.). Supervises any and all space used by athletes while they are present, including post-game and post-practice. Assures that the team will reflect the proper attitude and conduct at all times. Represents the school in a professional manner in demeanor, language, and conduct. Any ad hoc duties assigned by the Athletic Director. RMP Requirements REQUIREMENTS Experience preferred, demonstrable understanding of the sport seeking to coach Teamwork and teambuilding skills Communication skills, unwavering commitment to growing personally and professionally as an anti-racist and anti-oppressive organization. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Speaks Spanish Demonstrated success working with students from historically marginalized communities Want more information? 1.
