Supply Chain Manager 47053BR USA - California - Mountain View/Sunnyvale Job Description and Requirements Supply Chain ManagerJob OverviewIn this job, the supply chain manager will be developing and managing the strategic sourcing of Electronics Manufacturer Service (EMS) providers to meet the business needs of SDG including cost targets and cost reduction, lead time management, material availability for NPI and mass production, supply continuity and risk mitigation, supplier evaluation, selection and performance.Responsibilities and Duties:Develop and manage EMS sourcing strategy that aligns technology and business requirements with EMS capabilities.Manage overall commercial relationships with EMS providers including supplier performance, capability development, cost and quality improvements.Manage contract negotiations, cost targets, lead time and materials availability, supply risk evaluation and mitigation.Negotiate with EMS providers on pricing model and develop cost reduction roadmap.Interface with cross-functional teams to assess current and future manufacturing service requirements.Work closely with Engineering to influence design decision and manufacturing processes for supply chain flexibility and manufacturability.Work closely with Strategic Commodity team to implement the component sourcing strategies at EMS.Continually identify and implement new opportunities for cost savings and avoidance. Monitor current supply chain conditions to identify challenges and develop continuity plan.Advise management on global supply chain challenges, risk, pricing trend which could impact business.Qualifications:BA degree or BS degree from an accredited college or university.Minimum 5 years' experience in Supply Chain and/or Commodity Management.Knowledge of outsource manufacturing service models.Proven EMS management experience, project management skills, and capable to work with cross-functional teams.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Background working PDM tools (Arena or Agile) and ERP systems.Must be detailed oriented, analytical, process savvy and adaptable to business needs.ABOUT USAt Synopsys, we're at the heart of the innovations that change the way we work and play. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
