Job Description:Role Summary: * The Supplier Quality Engineer proactively improves supplier quality. * This role will help the functions and manufacturing site exceed our customer expectations by designing and deploying regional processes to mitigate Supplier quality risk.Key Relationships: * Reports to: Site Quality Business Unit Leader * Dotted line reporting structure to Global Raw Materials Supplier Quality LeadKey Responsibilities: * Collaborate with Procurement and Process Technology in the sourcing process to mitigate potential quality risks using Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and IATF 16949 tools. * Maintains and improves a dynamic approved supplier list based on quality risks. * Develops and assists in maintaining supplier quality scorecards. * Issues Quality Notifications (QNs) and Supplier Corrective Action Requests based on supplier issues. * Communicates quality requirements and product submission procedures to suppliers. * Provides input to warehouse quality lead regarding the incoming material inspection process. * Develops appropriate metrics, monitors, and improves the material receiving process. * Maintain the appropriate documents and files to align with the site Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001 standards. * Function as liaison between receiving, material planning, procurement, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve supplier quality & technical issues. * Performs root cause analysis utilizing 5 Why, 8D, CAPA, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). * Audit suppliers when appropriate. * Participate in the site internal audits to identify and address improvement opportunities. * May direct technical and administrative workers engaged in quality activities. * Other duties as assigned by the Quality Business Unit Leader.Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance or chemistry, or high school degree and equivalent experience. * Experience with supplier quality management. * Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Able to work efficiently in a team environment. * Able to travel (
