Supervisor Responsibilities for the daily work assignments, motivation, consultations, and corrective action of all personnel assigned to his/her area of responsibility. It is the supervisor's responsibility to provide support to his/her department through the insistence of proper operating procedures in obtaining the goals of the company. Responsible for instilling a culture of safety and continuous improvement in areas of responsibility. The incumbent is responsible for supervisory tasks that include training and associate development. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:*Responsible for achieving department, safety, production, quality, and continuous improvement goals.*Manages the safety and continuous improvement/cost out efforts within assigned area*Conducts weekly departmental safety meetings*Schedules computer based training modules for associates*Maintains Job Safety Analysis and Standard Operating Procedures for all work areas in department*Audits all safety inspections and conducts accident investigations along with safety production teams*Provides coaching for associates and issues corrective action when necessary*Coordinates the work assignments for all associates in areas of responsibility.*Responsible for first article sign-offs and maintaining standard operating procedures*Interfaces with project managers to ensure clients' product expectations are met. *Moves and manages labor to facilitate the dynamic work-flows within the department*Review daily and weekly efficiency reports to ensure associate compliance with production standards.*Responsible for maintaining departmental efficiency and non-prod standards*Responsible for supervisory tasks that include training and policy enforcement, associate motivation, and development,.*Works closely with planning/scheduling to ensure on-time delivery of production demands. *Maintains inventory accuracy and coordinates weekly cycle counting to ensure transaction accuracyExperience Required: 2-3 year previous supervision *Knowledgeable in assembly and manufacturing processes.*Knowledgeable with computer applications and related analytical systems.*Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.*Excellent organizational and time management skills. *Knowledgeable in providing associate recognition, delegation and guidance as well as coaching and corrective action when required. *Proficient in MAPICS and AS 400 operating systems.*Experience with lean manufacturing processes and 5S is helpful but not required.
