Reporting to the Maintenance General Supervisor, the Mill Maintenance Supervisor, Electrical will be responsible for all areas of maintenance activity. This position combines the responsibilities for electrical, IT trades, schedule execution, continuous improvement, and staffing to ensure company standards are maintained. To be successful we are looking for someone with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, who can build relationships across multi-disciplinary teams. This role requires a self-motivated individual who is driven to produce results and strive for continuous improvement, while handling contending priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Advanced analytical, planning and scheduling, organization, problem-solving and decision-making abilities are vital. Responsibilities: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Develop and maintain a safe work environment through compliance with Teck’s Health and Safety Program and the BC Mines Act Lead with strong core values and make values-based decisions Hold employees accountable in achieving maintenance goals and maximize employee work performance and productivity through coaching and feedback Administer the collective agreement, safety and mine regulations and environmental regulations in a manner consistent with policies and procedures Participate in industrial relations and safety investigations as required Direct the troubleshooting of equipment failures to determine root cause and initiate appropriate remedial action Oversee quality maintenance and repair of mill.
