Position Title: Superintendent of Construction Project Location: New Haven County Pay: $43.25 - 50.00, Hourly Schedule: Standard 40 hour work week, some potential for OT Benefits: 401(k) Health Dental Vision PTO, Holidays Company Overview: A family-owned business with 40+ offices that has been shaping communities since the 1800s Consistently recognized as one of the most reputable construction management firms in the country, committed to delivering projects safely and on-time. You will have the opportunity to build schools, labs, hospitals, corporate offices, sports arenas and more! Our company grew 20 people last year and the intention is to grow that size again! The Connecticut team is currently made up of about 100 people with a mix of PMs, Estimators, Superintendents, Project Engineers, etc. Position Details: Direct the day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and their sub-contractors to ensure they turn out high-quality work that meets the approved project schedule Develop, document and communicate the work plan regarding changes made in the field Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents to be able to plan ahead and anticipate potential problems before they arise Obtain or verify that the subcontractors obtain all necessary permits for construction purposes Act as primary safety representative in the field and enforce quality control policies Establish credibility among owners, trade contractors, unions etc. by maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment Lead contractor meetings on a regular basis Maintain daily reports and documentation using Procore Create, manage and update the project schedule, create and implement contingency plans when necessary Communicate schedule status, updates and changes to Project Team and Trade Contractors Plan, coordinate and manage jobsite logistics Oversee project quality plan and implement necessary changes Requirements: BS Degree (Engineering or Construction Management preferred) 4+ years of experience on $15 million or larger commercial/industrial construction projects.
