The Center for Courageous Kids (CCK) is a medically-based camping facility dedicated to enriching the lives of medically fragile children. CCK is looking for energetic, positive, team-oriented, reliable and flexible individuals to apply for our 2023 Summer Staff. We hire primarily for two types of positions: Den Counselors/Interns are trained to take care of the daily needs of up to 8 campers while navigating a weekly schedule. Working with fellow staff and volunteers, den counselors/interns are actively involved in the supervision, guidance and motivation of campers to ensure that a high standard of care is maintained. Program Counselors/Interns are trained on-site to plan/develop activities and facilitate a specific program area during the day (areas include: Arts & Crafts, Fun & Games, Archery, Lifeguarding, Photography, Equestrian, etc.) and then they join a group of den counselors/interns to share additional responsibilities in the evening. Besides the basic job positions, some other facts to know are: We are a not-for profit camp that provides an inclusive and medically safe experience for our campers at no cost to their families. All buildings are state of the art and designed to meet the needs of a variety of different diagnoses and conditions. These staff positions will live together in rooms adjacent to their assigned campers. The salary range for these positions will be $60 - $70 per day, as well as room and board. Free laundry equipment provided. CCK is a fun, exciting and fast-paced work environment. The staff members that we hire are left with a priceless experience that develops leadership, communication and problem-solving skills while also making important and lasting connections with the greatest kids on Earth! This summer opportunity will not only allow you to play with the greatest of children, but will also prepare you for the professional path you choose to take.
