Substitute School NurseAn ESS substitute school nurse (RN/LPN) assists in providing the fullest possible educational opportunity for students by minimizing absence due to illness and creating a climate of health and well-being in the schools. ResponsibilitiesProvide critical care services to medically fragile students as assignedAdminister medications from physicians' ordersMaintain medication records and reportsCommunicate with medical, nursing, and district personnelManage and provide health room services, including first aid and CPR, according to established proceduresProvide guidance and counseling in the area of health to students, staff, and parents according to professional standardsQualificationsGA Nurse Certification, RN or LPNDrug Screen - Varies by DistrictCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) CertificationState/FBI Criminal History ClearanceAbout ESSAs leaders in the education staffing space since 2000, ESS specializes in placing qualified staff in daily, long-term, and permanent K-12 school district positions including substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school support staff.
