Job Description: The Student Learning Coordinator & Academic Coach at Arcadia University provides academic coaching for targeted student populations, oversees the unit's peer collaborative learning programs, and assists with the day-to-day operations of the office. The Learning Coordinator & Academic Coach also assists the Director of the Office of Academic Development with sustaining and evolving a range of holistic and inclusive academic support services for Arcadia University students. Location: Glenside Responsibilities : Provide academic coaching for targeted students. Collaborate with other units within the Division of Student Success to provide holistic support for first-generation and Pell-eligible students and students in Academic Recovery. Hire, train, and supervise peer educators, learning assistants, and other student employees. Collaborate with other Academic Development and Center for Teaching, Learning and Mentoring staff on ongoing professional development of peer educators. Conduct outreach to students, faculty, and staff about unit resources and activities. Maintain and manage accurate data in academic center management systems. Conduct regular reporting and assessment of services in collaboration with the Director and share as appropriate with the Division of Student Success and other colleagues. Assist with administration of testing for students with approved accommodations. SupervisionReceived: Director of Academic DevelopmentGiven: Undergraduate and graduate peer educators Qualifications : Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Counseling, Education, Higher Education Administration or related field preferred. 1-3 years of higher education work experience supporting students in academic, co-curricular, and/or other learning environments. Previous experience supervising or supporting student employees is preferred. Previous experience coordinating a tutoring and/or academic coaching program is preferred. Coaching certification through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) or the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE-Global) is preferred. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of college students' academic and psycho-social development. Knowledge of best practices in academic coaching, peer cooperative learning, and general academic support services. Proficiency in technology such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and the ability to quickly learn academic center management systems (Accudemia) and Salesforce. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong interest and commitment to supporting a diverse student population, particularly Pell-eligible students. Ability to learn and apply university policies and procedures to ensure operational compliance. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with individuals from all cultures and backgrounds. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to balance short-term and longer-term tasks, projects, and goals. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, various Google products, and familiarity with databases and online platforms. Ability to work on campus with modest hybrid opportunities when main fall/spring semesters are not in session.
