Madison Regional Health System is seeking a part-time or full-time Student Health Nurse (RN) to be a part of the Madison Regional Health System mission: Committed to providing quality healthcare, close to home. Our Student Health Nurse (RN) is an essential part of our Medical team and is responsible for providing contracted student health services for a local university August to May with days off when academic classes are not in session (ex. breaks/holidays). Option available to work in clinic setting during breaks/holidays to ensure full time hours. Duties include providing basic health assessment, treatment, recommendation and/or referral to students; health and wellness education and programming : and providing support services for campus related health issues and concerns. Prefer a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the health care field. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, great telephone etiquette, computer knowledge, and the ability to multi-task in pressure/stressful situations are essential. CPR certification is required. The working conditions will be in a clean, well-lighted area, with sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, frequent repetitive motion of the hands/wrists involved. May be required to deal with unpleasant environmental situations resulting from patient care or patient activity. Exposure to infectious disease, body fluids, odors, and dust. Full-time positions come with Madison Regional Health System's benefits package and a competitive salary. MRHS offers retention pay to individuals who have worked at the facility for greater than one year. Madison Regional Health System employees receive a discount at the on-site cafeteria.
