SUMMARY: The Coordinator for Student Integrity and Welfare interacts daily with students, parents, faculty and works closely with professional staff across the University in response to student conduct and welfare concerns among three primary focus areas: student support, incident response, and programmatic support. The position guides students through challenges (academic, psychological, physical, economic, social adjustment, etc.) by offering intervention tools that foster a supportive campus environment and ensure student success. This position is a 12-month, live-on campus position ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Collaborates with Student Development areas to manage student issues; document meetings, referrals, and assignments in the conduct and incident management system. Enforces student conduct policies, housing rules and regulations, and all related policies. Educates students on university policies, procedures, and regulations. Handles student conduct issues as they arise and follows policy violation protocol. Assists with individual case management, and guidance to students navigating resources, care and concerns. Conducts inquiries into conduct allegations, investigates and identifies involved parties and witnesses, conducts interviews, and monitors probationary student obligations. Meets 1-on-1 with students to connect them with resources and services to support their success including outreach, follow-up, , and resource connection. Assists with university adjudication proceedings and ensures that student conduct adjudication is administered in a fair, impartial, non-adversarial, restorative, and educational manner. Collects and documents all pertinent facts regarding students, their concerns, and situations. Utilizes documentation and conduct and Incident management systems. Consults with leadership to identify crises/emergencies and intervenes and/or refers to emergency resources in order to promote the safety of the students and campus community. Completes timely case documentation; maintains referral and outcome statistics and provides regular and summary reports to leadership and professional staff. Provide guidance and support to students, helping them adjust to university life. Serves on committees, panels, forums and attend required events. Provides daily on-call coverage of residence halls encompassing up to 1,200 students on a rotational basis throughout the calendar year. (ADD) Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent or equivalent combination of training and relative work experience. Master's Preferred. Must clear and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must maintain a valid driver's license, motor vehicle liability insurance and personal injury insurance, and complete the University Van Driver Training within 90 days of employment date. Must have the ability to demonstrate intermediate proficiency in MS Office & Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Teams, Zoom, or similar online/virtual meeting platforms. Experience and or proficient skillset with spreadsheets, database management, data formatting and reporting, and/or Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (Banner or similar) is highly preferred. Knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Banner, StarRez, and Maxient is preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong public relations and customer service skills with an ability to implement diplomacy and discretion at all times; an ability to work effectively with communities across the university; ability to maintain effective communication with all staff in Student Development area in order to maintain a welcoming environment and well-informed team approach. Must have high ethical standards and a strong sense of confidentiality; ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines; thrive in a complex work environment; displays solid problem solving and interpersonal skills; works well independently and as part of a team. Must have strong discretion to complete work assignments. Initiative is frequently required to complete work assignments. Decisions are made regarding policy interpretation and individual work priorities. Must have the ability to demonstrate a capacity for leadership, and the commitment to work collaboratively with a diverse and dynamic community. Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish with the ability to understand and to make one's self understood to Spanish speaking individuals). CPR Certification Preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Working conditions are in an office environment and university campus setting. Must be able to move across the university campus to conduct day to day business. While performing this role, the employee will be regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; and use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; and occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently communicates with others using approved technological resources; must be able to exchange accurate information through designated systems within a timely manner. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
