Who We Are: Ongoing threats to national security require timely intelligence data, including signal intelligence obtained through electronic surveillance. Since the 1940s, SwRI has supported U.S. and friendly foreign governments, as well as commercial clients. Objectives of this Role: Assist the team to develop templates involving various aspects of a cloud based digital signage application by integrating API's, data, web based widgets, graphical user interfaces, and widgets that will ultimately be part of the primary system. Proactively communicate with project mentors, provide status updates, and critically think through challenges. Summer 2024 Student. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Assist helpdesk technician and Division IT team to provide additional assistance with software installs, OS upgrades and printer maintenance. Assist helpdesk lead with design, implementation of default templates test, deploy and create maintainer training documentation for Digital signage. Requirements: Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Software Engineering or related such as Computational Engineering. Sophomore, Junior or Senior student Level; C++ and Java skills with the ability to work with advanced data structures, data analytics, and machine learning applications. Familiarity with software development on Windows and LINUX operating systems. Exposure to or interest in data analytics/machine learning concepts and tools. Be a proactive communicator, fast learner, have strong problem-solving and quantitative data analysis skills.
