Our client is a renowned engineering consultancy known for delivering top-notch structural engineering solutions. They're currently on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Structural Project Engineer to join their dynamic team in a project-level role. In this position, you'll be involved in a diverse range of projects spanning residential, commercial, educational, and healthcare buildings, as well as water retaining and wind farm infrastructure. Qualifications: Degree at Level 8 in Civil Engineering or higher, preferably with a focus on Structural Engineering. Chartered Engineer status. 8 to 12 years of relevant experience. Duties and Responsibilities: Assisting in the preparation of tender documents and backssments. Conducting site investigation works during tendering. Designing Eurocodes for various materials and overseeing design tasks. Managing more complex designs, including deep foundations and transfer structures. Preparing calculation packages and overseeing calculations by team members. Creating specification documents and technical reports. Collaborating with other disciplines and stakeholders. Supervising the development of drawings and reviewing models. Communicating effectively within the design team. Following quality management procedures and mentoring junior team members. Adhering to safety protocols. Conducting site inspections, preparing BCAR reports, and assisting in certificate preparations. Key Skills: Excellent understanding of mechanics and complex structural design principles. Strong written and oral communication skills. Organizational prowess with the ability to manage tasks and deadlines effectively. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Word and Excel. Experience with finite element packages such as Autodesk Robot, Tekla Structural Designer, CADS A3D, and other design packages.
