Staff Supervisor

Come join our Community & Family Services Department! We are seeking to add an experienced Staff Supervisor to our Team. In this role you will be responsible for the immediate supervision of the assigned program, including protective oversight of the individuals, implementation of the plans and activities, staff direction and supervision, and physical plant safety. The Staff Supervisor will also perform direct care as needed. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals. R esponsibilities: Facilitate opportunities for open communication between and among staff, families and people we support. Will communicate with the program coordinator before, during and/or after each session any questions and concerns regarding the program. Assist the program coordinator with the supervision and training of staff during activities Will oversee the set up and clean up of materials and activities for the assigned program including purchasing supplies as needed. Will be responsible for the assigned program related paperwork and records. (Ex - Log books, family sign-in sheets, staff timesheets, respite notes and if applicable incident or staff injury reports. Responsible for the implementation of the staffing pattern and follow through with assigned duties. Responsible for the physical plant at the various facilities (ex. - opening, closing, locking, fire drills and safety). Ensure supervision and protective oversight of the individuals at all times. Participate in activities of daily living as necessary, i.e.: toileting, eating, dressing, bathing, and ambulating to whatever extent is required based on individual needs, including lifting assistance as needed. Qualifications: High School diploma/GED. An AAS degree in a human services field is preferred. One - two years experience working with individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Prior experience within the assigned program. Prior supervisory experience. Ability to obtain and maintain required trainings/certifications including First Aid/ CPR and others as assigned. May also include annual recertification of Medication Administration.
