Job Title: Staff Engineer Location: 1101 Red Ventures Dr., Fort Mill, SC 29707 *may work remotely throughout the U.S. Duties: Improve and enhance scalable APIs that support multiple web applications. Architect and implement solutions for 3rd party API integrations. Be the technical expert: researching, evaluating, and implementing new scalable and reliable technology. Drive technologies from ideation to implementation and impact to end users. Ideate with engineering, design, product and leadership on architecture and product design. Optimize processes and find efficiencies to drive better results. Explore trends, do research, and consider the market and industry when making decisions. Proactively engage with multiple stakeholders to build consensus and get to the right outcome. May work remotely throughout the U.S. Requirements: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field plus 3 years' experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related role. Employer will accept a bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years' experience in lieu of a masters degree (or foreign equivalent) and 3 years' experience. Experience must include: Utilize AWS technologies including Lambdas, SQS Queues, FIFO Queues, EC2 containers and PostgreSQL databases to devise and manage architecture of backend services; engineer and set up architecture in terraform for big data processing using tools such as Mapreduce, Hive, Hadoop, Redshift or Solr; lead development of vital components of the health care plan recommendation algorithm that employs serverless APIs using TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL; and set up and manage the end-to-end architecture required for the training and deployment of machine learning models using AWS Sagemaker, Tensorflow Serve, S3 buckets and redshift.
