New Job Opportunity - Staff Accountant: New and exciting job opportunity with a client based out of Chesapeake, VA. Looking to hire an accounting professional with a minimum of one year of related work experience (Full Cycle Accounting). We are trying to fill this role within the next 2 weeks. Logistics of the Role: Full Time - 6 Month Contract to Hire On Site Day to Day Activities: Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations Assisting with the month end close processes - Month End Close experience is required Maintaining documentation for accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury functions Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations Meeting processing and reporting deadlines. Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits Qualifications: QuickBooks Desktop Experience is Required Bachelors Degree is preferred (Accounting, Finance, or Related) Minimum of one year professional accounting experience Communications and Organizational Skills Experience with Microsoft Office Applications Powered by JazzHR
