Launched in 2019, our company is a mission-led sports performance, training and media venture that will change the game of volleyball in the USA and empower new generations of female athletes.It is a groundbreaking time for volleyball in the US with our historic triple Olympic Gold medals in Women's Indoor, Beach and Sitting Volleyball. Volleyball is already the #1 most played girls' youth sport. There are 38M current and former players today. Of major sports, it's the only one that is women-first (~90% of players are female). But the volleyball market has been almost entirely missed by traditional sports investors, brands, and media.LOVB will capture this opportunity by building a foundational business with leading youth clubs in the country, which will create an avid fanbase for the best Pro League in the world and use a digital media platform that will connect all aspects of #LOVBforLife. This community-up approach will drive participation and fandom, while enabling greater empowerment for girls and young women living this amazing sport. The Role: The Staff Accountant role is a unique opportunity to be a part of the success of LOVB volleyball clubs. This fully remote role will manage the books for various volleyball clubs and be responsible for accurately capturing revenue and expenses and closing the books timely. Work with club management on payables and expense reconciliation. Key Activities: • Maintain records in NetSuite• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable• Accomplish timely month-end closing of the general ledger and the preparation of all necessary month-end general ledger reports and reconciliation• Produce various financial reports• Reconcile reports to third-party records such as bank statements• Embrace and perpetuate the company culture with a positive and constructive attitude. Experience: • 2-3 years' experience in an Accounting role• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures• An associate degree in accounting, finance or business an advantage• Accounting experience in start-up environment highly desirable Capability & Other Characteristics: • Excel• NetSuite Experience preferred• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees and non-financial business partners We strongly encourage people of color, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and non-binary people, veterans, parents, and individuals with disabilities to apply.
