Job Title: Staff Accountant Classification : F ull - Time - Non - E xempt Department: Accounting Horwitz, Horwitz, and Associates is a progressive family-owned law firm, located in Chicago's loop, who has represented Illinois' injured for over three generations. We are passionate about seeking justice for those who have been injured and who may have been previously denied representation. We are seeking to fill the role of Staff Accountant w ith our firm . About the Role : The S taff Accountant has previous A/P experience , is resourceful, tenacious and detail oriented. T his person works as a part of our Accounting team completing daily financial tasks while support ing the needs of the firm and its clients. The ideal candidate has strong time management skills and a thorough knowledge of A/P and general ledger systems. Duties and Responsibilities : include the following, but are not limited to: Processing high-volume payables and client distributions Reconciling credit card statements Maintaining cost-tracking system Preparing monthly schedules and reports Other duties as assigned Success Factors /Qualifications : AA in Business / Accounting required Advanced Computer Skills (Especially MS-Excel and Word) required Two years high-volume A/P experience highly preferred BA or BS a plus Able to work both independently and contribute to a positive team environment Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Effective written and verbal communications skills Efficient with time management and prioritizing multiple tasks at any given time Superior attention to detail and a high level of organization skills Must be fully vaccinated (COVID-19) prior to employment Salary & Benefits: Salary range is $55,000 - $70,000 annually, dependent on experience Health Insurance - HHA covers 100% of Employee Only premium Dental, Vision & Gift Life Insurance 401K & Profit Sharing Paid Time Off (Birthday & Holidays) Casual dress code and dynamic work environment Great location near public transit, parks, and shopping Job Posted by ApplicantPro
