Sr Treasury Analyst

Overview: This position is a part of the Treasury team within APCO's Finance and Accounting department and reports directly to the Corporate Treasurer. The Senior Treasury Analyst position encompasses a full spectrum of treasury accounting and reporting activities within the business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform general ledger duties including the preparation of journal entries and account/bank reconciliations in accordance with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close schedules. Enter adjusting journal entries for exceptions identified during the reconciliation process and normal business processing. Prepare the day-to-day cash positioning and wires. Perform investment analysis, debt compliance reporting, cash flow forecasting and all other ad hoc reporting as requested. Participate in annual audit by preparing requested schedules/documentation. Participate in debt refinancing engagements and investment analysis as requested. Assist the Corporate Treasurer with implementation of best-in-class banking products, service implementations and banking initiatives. Perform other duties and special projects as required by reporting manager. Assist with system streamlining and process improvement activities in line with Finance and Accounting's automation initiatives. Demonstrate a solid understanding of accounting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), applicable regulations, and corporate policies and procedures. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance is required. MBA, CTP or public accounting experience is preferred. 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance or treasury is required. Skills: Must be a team player who is also able to work independently and adhere to APCO's core values. Must be proficient in APCO's financial and business software applications (Microsoft D365, Blackline, Microsoft Office, MS Excel - specifically) or have the ability and desire to learn. Thorough understanding of online banking platforms, specifically JP Morgan Access. Knowledge of F&I industry. Must have the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment on assigned tasks and responsibilities. Must be collaborative and able to work with employees at all levels of the organization. Must be detail-oriented, work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, have the flexibility to deal with multiple changing priorities and be able to also meet deadlines within determined timeframes. Must be self-motivated and a critical thinker who possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must possess excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Must possess a process improvement mindset with willingness to challenge current processes. Experience in providing exceptional customer service to a broad base of stakeholders with ability and interest to learn business operations. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type and look at a computer screen for long periods of the day.
