Role: Sr. Survey/CAD Technician Industry: Engineering/Construction Location: Murfreesboro, TN Remote or Hybrid Options: n/a Hourly Range: $32.00 - $37.00 Type: Full-time/Non-Exempt/Benefits Overview: Our client is seeking a full-time Sr. CAD Technician specializing in surveying the Department of Transportation. This position is responsible for providing senior-level surveying office support for transportation land surveyors, serving as a key member of the team on a wide range of projects. The Sr. DOT CAD Technician will also collaborate internally with field staff as well as other CAD technicians, civil engineers, and land surveyors to assist our clients in the development of transportation surveys. Requirements: 5+ years of related DOT drafting experience preparing transportation surveys as well as experience with DOT surveying and engineering design projects Prefer to have a few years of field surveying experience Knowledge and application of surveying concepts Ability to adhere to project timelines in a team environment Strength in multi-department coordination and organization Proficient written and verbal communication Completes assignments with limited direction DOT drafting experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Geopak, OpenRoads, and MicroStation Experience preparing exhibits and writing descriptions Prefer to have experience using Trimble Business Center, but not required Key Responsibilities: Use Bentley software to prepare site plans according to DOT specifications Process, extract, and analyze field survey data Assist in assembling information about the survey scope and limits of work for the collection of field data and work with directing field crews as needed Collaborate with project managers to create plans Serve as a mentor for other DOT Technicians Keep site data and plans organized Potential for occasional field work including site inspections, research, and quality assurance If you meet the above requirements and feel confident in your ability to perform these tasks, please apply online or submit your resume to XXXX@ascendrecruitingpartners.com
