Direct Hire - Full Time position in Culpepper, VAPosition ID: 2566 An excellent position with a large defense technology company delivering innovative mission solutions * Senior Scientist - Material Process Engineering * Please apply ONLY if you have a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Material Science, or similar Visa sponsorship is not available for this position We can ONLY consider your application if you have: 1: Bachelor's degree (master's or PhD preferred) in Chemistry, Material Science or related science2: 15+ years of related technical experience in the chemistry environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).3: Knowledge of chemical principles, thermodynamics, polymer chemistry, structure/property relationships, kinetics, and data analysis We are looking for a Senior Scientist Materials Process Engineer to support Energetics and Propellant Development.-Under minimal direction, the Energetics and Propellant Development Engineer performs assignments requiring a wide application of advanced principles, theories and concepts in the propulsion field with a working knowledge of other related disciplines, such as thermal, structural, and ballistics analysis. DESIRED (not required) SKILLS: :: Experience with energetic materials, statistical analysis, programming, and experimental set-up and data acquisition.:: Explosives theory, compositions, and modeling Duties and Responsibilities== Develops solutions to unique or controversial problems which have an important effect on major company programs.== 30% - Evaluate and implement tractable solutions to technical problems involving the utilization of chemistry and chemical analysis techniques.== 30% - Responsible for specifying chemical testing and evaluating data, providing chemical guidance and planning (technical), organizing (cost and schedule), and conducting technical projects covering a broad range of technical topics under the guidance of a Technical Project Lead (Technical Fellow or equivalent).== 25% - Develop, plan, and promote projects independently for the implementation of novel technical approaches and cutting-edge technologies.== 15% - Consolidate results, prepare findings for reports Please send resume to Amarx Search, Inc. amarx.com
