Overview The job of Manufacturing Engineer is a highly qualified position, to plan, design, arrange, change, optimize, and supervise a manufacturing process. Manufacturing engineers are creative and analytical thinkers as well as process designers. The main responsibility of manufacturing engineer is to create, document, develop, and implement processes in support of part manufacture and business. Coach and assist co-workers in the organization. Job Duties Provide direction, guidance and mentoring to other staff. Provide technical support to existing products and processes using structured methods such as DMAIC. Develop, write, and execute engineering trials, reports, internal audits, work instructions, SOP’s and the like. Lead and/or participate in cross functional technical transfer teams. Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement activities (within Change Control requirements). Lead and/or participate in investigations, root cause analyses, and action plans. Research and develop new equipment, facilities and processes. Develop User Requirements Specifications (URS). Draft and execute acceptance tests. Significant time spent in manufacturing areas Travel: 5-10% customer and supplier meetings REQUIRED Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (> 10 years) in engineering/technical discipline. Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment. Technical leadership and independent problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to teach others. PC Skills - Microsoft Office suite, ERP systems, eQMS. Excellent interpersonal and teambuilding skills. Formal root cause analysis tools. Experience writing detailed, comprehensive nonconformance and investigations and reports. Current driver’s license. Powered by JazzHR
