Job Function: Under the direction of the Manager, Public Policy, the Senior External Policy & Partnerships Advisor will monitor and backss public policy issues and opportunities affecting Hydro One, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop advice and advocacy strategies, responses, and materials to support and advance key corporate priorities. General Accountabilities: 1. Identify, monitor/track, backss and facilitate information sharing about emerging and trending industry leadership and public policy issues, directions, and opportunities (in North America and elsewhere) likely to have a significant impact on Hydro One. 2. Conduct research, analyses, and evaluation of relevant industry and public policy decisions and trends to formulate strategies and policy advocacy options, and to provide advice on complex and sensitive issues, attitudes, or public matters in response to requests from industry, media, government, special interest groups, etc. 3. Provide project leadership and project management to develop, recommend, and implement strategic approaches that Hydro One could take in its advocacy and responses to public policy issues. 4. backss implications of Board of Directors and senior management decisions and other proposed management decisions and actions, on behalf of the Manager. 5.
