Ready to take your compliance career in a new direction? We are looking for a compliance leader who specializes in AML/CFT risk management to join the Amazon Payments compliance team. We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated experience in financial services risk management operations, and specifically with knowledge in the practical application of AML risk controls and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute directly with business owners, Compliance officers, and technical teams to drive compliance initiatives globally while possibly leading matrix teams, direct and/or indirect reports across multiple compliance programs. Key job responsibilities• Lead three regional teams of investigators charged with AML compliance operations for Amazon Payments, Inc (API), specifically overseeing and guiding investigations operations of transaction monitoring for sanctions screening, money laundering, and other suspicious activity indicative of financial crime• Drive the analysis and deep dive of metrics to identify opportunities to improve case handle time, reduce operational friction rates, and identify/mitigate both program and operational risk • Author or contribute regularly to complex, recurring reports including detailed operational data analysis for senior stakeholders and operational leadership• Excel as a leader, growing and developing your team of highly motivated people managers and individual contributors within the compliance operations space• Work cross-functionally with program and process leaders to manage new product launches, rationalize/globalize existing SOPs, and address Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to de-risk operations• Sound expertise in overseeing multiple programs, prioritizing, and delegating as appropriate• Oversee SAR reporting to Fin CEN, 314b requests, and all filing activities requiring senior escalations based on established policy• Balance hiring and operational capacity for your teams based on escalation.
