Hyde Park Day School is the premier school for bright students with learning disabilities in the Chicago metropolitan area. Hyde Park Day School is seeking to hire a full time Speech Language Pathologist at our Lemont Campus to play a vital role in our students' academic success. This is a benefits-eligible position. The Speech Language Pathologist supports and enhances the individual student's educational program and adjustment. Commits to making the student's experience in school as positive and meaningful as possible. Brings expert knowledge about the influence of communication in the in the psychosocial development of the student to the educational process. Remediates speech-language deficits involving phonology, morphology, semantics, syntax, pragmatics, auditory processing, and/perception, and establishes these skills in daily communication. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Speech Language Disorders from an accredited educational program Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist in the State of Illinois Minimum of two years of speech language therapy experience Minimum of one year of experience with children with diagnosed learning disabilities ABOUT HYDE PARK DAY SCHOOL Hyde Park Day School is a full-day school program that offers specialized, educational curriculum for students, ages 6 to 15, with moderate to severe learning disabilities and who have average to above average intelligence. We admit only bright students with learning disabilities and screen for behavioral and emotional concerns. Adherence to CDC and IDPH COVID protocols have allowed us to provide in-person instruction for the past two academic years. Teachers engage students in 5:1 student-to-teacher We provide a state-of-the-art instructional and assistive technology program We employ a team of Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker to work with instructional staff in the provision of a comprehensive learning environment We have a highly talented staff supported by a comprehensive professional development program. We utilize three instructional coaches to train and certify our staff.
