Special Projects Lead HVAC Mechanic Job Summary: The Special Projects Lead HVAC Mechanic leads a crew to install or replace commercial HVAC equipment and systems. These systems include, but are not limited to the following: chillers, boilers, package units/RTUs, and split systems. Primary Responsibilities: Organizes, leads, and mentors team members to complete projects within established timeframes and budgets. Picks up and delivers equipment and materials needed for jobs Manages relationship with customers on job sites Completes required paperwork within a timely manner Requirements: 5+ years of experience in a leadership role related to commercial HVAC projects High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to perform takeoffs Understanding of proper refrigerant piping installation Understanding of hydronic systems (chilled and hot water) including piping concepts, pumps, and controls devices Basic understanding of electrical wiring, high voltage controls, and safety practices Ability to braze and solder Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and blueprints Sheet metal experience is a plus Ability to maintain a professional demeanor, with good communication ability Must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record We Offer: Health Insurance - PPO and HSA plans available Weekly paychecks Training and continued education Employee Stock Ownership Plan - We are 100% employee owned!
