The Straz Center is seeking candidates to join our team who have a passion for advancing the arts and embraces the Straz Center's mission and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Located in downtown Tampa, the Straz offers flexible hours, event-based schedules including evenings and weekends, and a team-based work environment. Straz Center is currently looking for a Space and Equipment Coordinator to provide operational support for the Education Department classes and events. Essential Functions: Assists with space and equipment for all classes and summer camps (fall, spring, and summer session classes; summer camps; and summer intensives). Serves as liaison to resolve calendar conflicts and suggests solutions. In coordination with Conservatory Production, maintains inventory of classroom supplies and equipment. Assists with student escorting and pick up/drop off as requested. Other: Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment as a dynamic and supportive team member. Education and Work Experience: High school diploma preferred. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary functions. Ability to move event materials or theatrical equipment weighing up to 40 lbs. Work regularly requires traversing and ascending/descending; approximately 50% of performance facility is reachable only by stairs or ladder. Ability to identify and communicate audio/visual difficulties occurring during events/productions. Some work may be completed in low light areas and/or areas of restricted access. May operate electrical or sound equipment. Position occasionally requires work in areas where hazardous materials (e.g., spray paint or cleansers) are present. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be stationary and communicate using a telephone. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the primary functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may get very loud at times Special Conditions of Employment: The nature of this job requires the employee work on-site as a regular work routine.
