Software Quality Engineer About the job: We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer to test and sustain the quality of Microservices and Web-Based Applications for an intriguing range of clients. This role involves both manual and automated tests aimed at new functionalities and preventing regressions. The role is comparable to a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or development-heavy Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer role in other organizations. This role requires strong technical skills, a passion for quality, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Qualifications with these essential skills: Deep experience with a Software Engineering approach to Software Product testing, including Cypress, and Scrum / Agile processes. A background in traditional software development or quality assurance The role also requires a voracious appetite to learn and apply new skills. You should be skilled at testing web-based software and Testing Microservice APIs, and excel at learning new tools, processes, and frameworks. We’re looking for someone with: 3+ years of quality engineering experience Experience testing large-scale, mission-critical Software Products Programming skills in languages such as Typescript/Java Script, Java, or Python Experience with version control systems (e. g. Git) and CI/CD tools (e. g. Git Hub Actions) Familiarity with RESTful API testing and understanding of API communication protocols (HTTP, HTTPS) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Write test cases based on requirements and user stories to facilitate behavior-driven development (BDD) Proven experience in building test automation frameworks using Cypress for front-end testing and API testing tools Define and improve Acceptance Criteria in partnership with Product Owners and Developer Log well-documented defects and track them through their lifecycle Execute both manual and automated test.
