Software Engineering Manager with a focus on Front: End required to join a tech success story in Edinburgh. You will be working on developing world: class products and services in a hugely innovative environment. The company: They are a global tech business, who have scaled up greatly since 2009. With around 3,000 employees globally, they are continuing to grow and have experienced 97 growth last year (with similar expected again this). Based out of Edinburgh, they have 400 tech staff in the UK and are currently growing across Software (Management, Developers, Data and QA). They operate in the most modern of environments, utilising the likes of Python, Java, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, React, Typescript and more. Innovation is key to everything they do, and you will have a lot of autonomy to build cutting edge technology and platforms that will impact people on a global scale. There are actually three Senior Engineering Manager roles, and some are for newly made teams. They currently operate across a hybrid model, ideally two days a week in the Edinburgh office (however you can do one of those days also in the Glasgow office). The role: As a Manager, you will be managing an Agile (and predominantly Scrum) team of around 4 Engineers of varying levels. They are looking for people from a strong and innovative software background and experience of managing small and Agile teams. The focus on this particular team is very much on Front: End and Web Development, with a focus mainly on React with some Type Script and Next. JS. Additionally, they would ideally look for you to remain fairly hands: on technically whilst contributing to the code base. Theyd like someone the rest of the team can learn from.
