P1 Construction is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for summer 2024. This position would report to our Lenexa, Kansas office and could follow a hybrid schedule - working at home and in the Lenexa/Lawrence offices as needed. Must reside within commuting distance of Lenexa and Lawrence area. Duration: Summer 2024 (with potential for extension) Interns are paid P1 employees. Join our P1 Team! Responsibilities and Duties Develop internal applications to improve and streamline company processes. Collaborate within a team environment as well as manage individual projects. Flexibility to work in a hybrid remote environment, with the requirement to visit offices and job sites as needed. Qualifications and Skills Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related degree is preferred. Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in JavaScript and React is essential. Candidates should be comfortable building user interfaces with React. Portfolio Preferred: Applicants are encouraged to submit links to their portfolio or GitHub profile showcasing projects or contributions that highlight their experience in JavaScript and React. Specific examples of front-end development and any interaction with APIs or backend services are highly valued. Additional Technical Skills: Experience with Node.js, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Power BI, C#, Revit APIs, Git, and GitHub is a plus. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are crucial. Technical Versatility: Able to navigate in both backend and frontend technologies is a plus. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Self-motivated with the ability to independently drive projects. Openness to experimentation and innovation. Live within commuting distance of Lenexa and Lawrence KS. Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Must be able to satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check. Must be able to meet P1 qualifications to operate a vehicle on company business. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must have access to drive a well maintained vehicle. Must have up to date registration with the local Department of Motor Vehicles. Both the candidate and the vehicle must be currently covered on a personal insurance policy.
