Software Engineer- Front End

Description:
CFD Research is seeking a skilled Front-End Software Engineer with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience to develop and maintain user-facing features of our desktop and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should be familiar with component libraries such as Tailwind and/or Material UI and frameworks such as Django, Bootstrap, and/or Jumpstart. In this role, you will work closely with in-house UI/UX designers, software architects, developers, and research PIs to design, develop, and test user interfaces that enhance user experience. Responsibilities: • Develop, test, and maintain user-facing features of our desktop and mobile applications. • Collaborate with our development team to design and implement responsive user interfaces. • Work closely with our UX/UI designers to ensure our applications are intuitive and easy to use. • Use component libraries similar to Tailwind and/or Material UI and frameworks like Django, Bootstrap, and/or Jumpstart to develop scalable and maintainable code. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. • Write and execute unit tests and/or set up automated test suites. Requirements: • 3-5 years of experience as a Front-End Software Engineer. • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Experience working with frameworks such as Django, Bootstrap, and/or Jumpstart. • Experience using component libraries such as Tailwind and/or Material UI. • Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Webpack, Grunt, or Gulp. • Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development. • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Preferences: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience. • Experience using Atlassian tool suite or similar software management tools. Location: Hybrid, mostly Remote.
