Position in Heart Center requires providing comprehensive support to patients and families across various care stages. Fast-paced environment demands adeptness in medical and psychosocial realms. Social Worker II delivers crisis intervention, counseling, and community resource connections. Hospital experience preferred. Key Responsibilities: Cultivate positive relationships with patients, families, physicians, and community representatives.Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and implement appropriate interventions.Utilize communication skills for conflict resolution and fostering healing environments.Demonstrate leadership through mentoring, education, and advanced clinical practice.Qualifications: Master's Degree in Social Work required.Minimum 3 years post-MSW experience necessary.Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse patient populations.Sensitivity to various cultural backgrounds.Must hold an Ind. Clinical Social Worker license at LICSW-level in DC. Licensing in MD and/or VA required if serving patients in those jurisdictions, including telemedicine.
