Questions before applying? 785-966-XXXX SUMMARY: This position will act as a member of a multidisciplinary team in serving clients and families. Provides child foster care placement, complete assessments, locate appropriate placement and monitors their care and well-being to ensure their needs have been met. Licensing and relicensing of foster homes off the reservation through Child Placing Agency License through State of Kansas Department of Children and Families and tribally approved foster homes. This position also provides/refers services to families and children for reintegration/reunification, adoption, and guardianship. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all minimum requirements by the closing date of this announcement. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree in social work. One year of direct social work experience; specifically, in child welfare and/or foster care. Current Kansas Social Worker license with the BSRB. Must have valid Kansas driver's license and be insurable with the Nation's insurance Available to work the assigned schedule and available as needed to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the position, which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime hours. Must have interest and knowledge of Native lifestyle and culture. Continue to improve job related skills through college courses and/or on-going training. Must possess professional work ethics, manner, and appearance. Must possess ability to communicate professionally; both orally and in writing a service-orientated approach, sometimes in stressful circumstances. Must be reliable, punctual and dependable to meet the needs of the department and Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situation and documentation.
