SITE DIRECTOR (PART-TIME): Afterschool Program Site Director, Prince George's County, MD AlphaBEST: After school is where adventure begins! AlphaBEST believes in the power of wonder to connect students to a world of endless possibilities. We're looking for leaders like you to be the Captain of our team! Location: _Prince George's County Elementary Schedule: Monday-Friday (Before & Aftercare) NO Weekends!! Pay & Benefits: $18.00/hour Part-time benefits including health and paid time off Employee referral program - up to $150 for every successful new hire you refer Deep discounts on program tuition for dependents (Bring your school-age child to work for $10/week) Fun and friendships come with the paycheck As an AlphaBEST Captain , you'll be trained to do the following: Lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides that deliver excitement to our student Explorers in fitness, the arts, technology, and more! Work collaboratively with peers and the Leadership Team to manage all aspects of the program site. Train AlphaBEST Guides on how to lead adventurous tasks that ignite children's sense of wonder. Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by establishing clubs that build on students' interests and talents. Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, parent, and school relationships are fostered at your program site. Here's what you'll need: Must have a high school diploma or GED, Must be at least 21 years old Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs Must be registered and have full clearance from the state childcare licensing agency Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations (see below) Proof of experience through ONE of the following options is required: Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA in a related field) or Associate's Degree (AS/AA in a related field) A 1-year state or nationally recognized credential (related to school-age care) Completion of 20 credits (semester system) or 30 credits (quarter system) of training at a college/university AND at least 1 year of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program) 2 or more years of qualifying teaching experience (with at least one year as a teacher) in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program) Join us today!
