Requisition ID: 72864 Summary Seeking an Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar Engineering student to support a team of ASIC design Engineers through Circuit Evaluation and Reporting in a laboratory environment. Responsibilities Primary function involves assisting Design Engineers in providing evaluation and test support under the direction of a Senior Engineer in the following areas: Circuit Evaluation Create & implement test procedures based on IC specification Provide engineers with test data & summaries in an understandable and complete manner Test Platform Development & Maintenance Create & implement test platforms to evaluate consumer electronics RF & Audio systems Maintain, modify & repair test boards Skills Formal training or ability & dexterity to quickly learn skills in the following areas is strongly desired: SMT Assembly & Rework Mechanical Assembly Experience Candidate would ideally have some understanding of the following through education or practical experience: Test Equipment: Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Audio Analyzer, etc Electronics Theory: RF, Digital Audio, Analog Audio and Power Systems theory Scripting & Programming Languages: Python, C and Labview Data Reporting: Technical Writing, Descriptive & Inferential Statistical Analysis PCB Schematic Design: Develop small test fixtures The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
