A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SHOWROOM MANAGER As a Showroom Manager, you are critical to the success of our company. Before the showroom opens each day, you meet with your team to discuss how the previous day went and the goals for the current day. You also work with the general manager to make sure that all pricing is current and accurate, including our sales system and any marked pricing. Working with the service manager, you develop a labor cost list so installation can be quoted accurately. When needed, you implement sales, clearances, and promotions to help move inventory through our store. As orders come in, you review each one to make sure they are complete and accurate. At the end of each week, you make sure that all orders are closed out and accounts are updated. Throughout the day you make sure that the showroom is organized and stocked, and work with the general manager to place stock orders when needed. When appropriate, you decorate the showroom for various holidays and seasons. When needed, you interview and hire new team members. As part of our sales management team, you are also responsible for making sure that your team is trained and following all rules and procedures. This includes weekly training for all employees. Working with the general manager, you help set and update our marketing plan and any rules or standard operating procedures. When issues occur, either between employees or with a customer, you use your customer service skills to find an appropriate solution. At the end of each week, you meet with the general manager to discuss and review the week and brainstorm ways to improve and grow our company.
