Summary/objective The Shop Apprentice is involved in the rebuilding, repair and quality checking of various medical equipment and machines in the histology/pathology space. Essential functions Assisting with rebuilding various medical equipment to meet deadlines in our onsite shop Preparing machine panels for painting Cleaning of parts and components Quality testing and preparation of equipment Assembling components and kits for stock requirements Prepping equipment for shows and workshops Transporting and delivering equipment Parts Harvesting from Unit Tear Downs Competencies Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Attention to detail Mechanical Aptitude Team player Driver’s License Avantik is an integrated medical products and services company delivering superior quality instruments, reagents, consumables, and service to the anatomic pathology market consisting of hospital, reference, and physician office laboratories in the US.
