Responsible for the organization, loading and shipping of products. Responsible for the overall receiving for the company including customer supplied products, general material, plant supplies, etc. Prepares and loads products onto trailers and moves products to/from yard using powered industrial equipment (tractors, fork lifts, skid loaders, etc) or other means as necessary. Monitors inventory of products in the yard and within the warehouse.DUTIES1.Responsible for proper loading of products onto trailers, including common carriers. Utilizes pick tickets and/or loading diagrams to ensure proper load configurations.a.Understands product descriptions.b.Ability to follow prints regarding fitting locations and sizes, inputting/removing fittings as necessary.c.Understands and uses proper methods for safe product handling.d.Follows proper procedures for throwing and stacking products on trailers.e.Uses powered industrial trucks in safe/effective manner.f.Cleans out trailers, as needed.2.Reviews quality of products being loaded assuring that each product meets customer specifications and high-level standards. Notes accuracy of product detail.3.Assures all loads are properly secured using established tie down procedures.a.Properly uses ratchet straps and load locks.b.Secures nets on trailers.c.Measure load to ensure its legal for both height and width.4.Shrink-wraps, bands, and/or palletizes products for shipping, secures and labels boxes as necessary.5.Transports product to the yard. Maintains proper placement, organization, and inventory counts on products.6.Completes and accurately uses TCM operating system within shipping operations to perform designated tasks.7.Follows safe operating procedures for area including maintaining: proper loading techniques, personal protective equipment requirements, clean and organized work areas. Works with maintenance to make certain equipment utilized is well maintained.8.Works as member of the Shipping team, handling whatever assignments are necessary to meet production and shipping schedule. Assignments may include working in other areas, etc.9.Projects enthusiasm about the company through positive interactions with others, including internal and external customers.10.Complies with company policies. Participates in company meetings.QUALIFICATIONSMust be able to manage multiple tasks/priorities in a fast paced environment and easily adapt to changing situations.Ability to create positive relationships with employees and management.Reads and comprehends written and verbal instructions. Effectively communicate with other employees within the company.Capacity to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Aptitude to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.Ability to work in a wide variety of extreme weather conditions.Ability to operate power industrial trucks (forklifts, tractors, skid loaders, etc) safely and effectively.Ability to accurately complete basic production and employee related paperwork.Ability to accurately enter production, shipping and general information into the computer system.Ability to comprehend and execute basic computing for data collection.Must be self-driven and able to work with limit or no supervision at times, however also possess the ability to receive direction from numerous individuals.Uses basic maintenance equipment, and have proven record of mechanical aptitude.
