Job Description : Under direction of the Project Manager or immediate supervisor assigned, provide services loading and stowing subsistence and supplies onboard navy ships located at Naval Station-Mayport. Services include storeroom preparation and stock rotation assistance. Maintain surge capability to support emergent and surge requirements. What we expect from you: Handling and transporting subsistence supplies from the staging area to designated locations aboard the ship. Rotate stock as required. Remove debris and dispose in designated locations. Neatly stack pallets in designated locations. Report to assigned place of duty on time, as prescribed by the supervisor. Utilize safety equipment hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, and steel toed shoes in the performance of all assigned work. Must pass a Navy background security investigation and maintain the appropriate clearance to remain employed on this project. Follow all agency policies and procedures as set forth in the Board of Director's approved personnel handbook. Maintain qualifications to operate forklift equipment up to 4,000 pounds. Other duties as assigned. Who is a good fit? High school diploma for equivalent. Must be able to read, write and speak communicate in English. Must pass a background check and government screening Computer experience is a plus including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Must be able to walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, push, pull and lift 50 pounds. Commitment to safety rules.
