Shift Production Leader - Molding (Night Shift) Job Description Summary Responsible for leading associates in an engaged manner to achieve desired results in an assigned manufacturing molding unit. Lead day-to-day activities of the unit by coaching associates on a continuous improvement path in their daily molding manufacturing activities and efforts. Coach associates to be accountable for safety, quality, production, cost, housekeeping and overall policy adherence. Ensure that safety and quality standards are achieved while driving production performance to meet goals and schedules. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values. Hours: 7PM - 7AM Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Promptly address any safety issues or incidents.Spend a minimum of 75% of time onmoldingproduction floor leading associates.Responsible for staffing and training plans within the department.Provide regular, timely, and specific feedback to associates.Provide a learning environment and challenge associates to meet higher expectations.Ensure an open flow of communication exists between production associates and management. Represent concerns of production associates to management, as well as management concerns to production associates.Ensure fair and consistent application of company and departmental policies and practices. Works with associates to resolve employee relations issues and concerns; involves HR when needed.Actively participate and support continuous improvement activities.Collaborate with Production Planning to establish production schedules, monitor performance versus schedule for the department.Track production metrics to ensure that department goals are being met. Communicates these metrics and progress to associates and management.Lead daily production operations.Other duties as required to support the needs of the business. Deliverables: Ensuremoldedproducts meet the established quality requirements.Meet or exceed operational objectives (i.e. safety, quality, production, cost, etc.).Effectively lead and develop others to aide in building a high performing production team. Supervision: This position has the following level of supervision:Hourly Associates: Medium Team (~10-20) QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 1. Minimum Education:This position has the following minimum educational requirements:High School Diploma/GED: RequiredAssociates Degree:*RequiredBA/BS Degree: Preferred *In lieu of an Associates Degree, 3 years supervisory experience in a molding and/or manufacturing environment considered. Molding Skill 1 Processing Technical or greater skill level proficiency.2. Minimum Experience:3 yrs People Leading experience.3 yrs Molding focused Manufacturing experience.3.
