Shift Foreman Overview We are a young and rapidly growing sand processing company located in rural North Dakota looking for the right person to add to our leadership team. Operating in North Dakota since 2019, our plant is located near the town of Towner, ND. Asgard is seeking shift foremen to lead and manage a team of operators to maintain and operate a sand washing and sizing plant and a dryer. This job will also include operating heavy equipment at times. Successful applicants will be trained on the specific equipment utilized at the facility. Responsibilities Direct the daily operations following a production plan. Manage a processing workforce of 5+ people Manage work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet production goals. Coordinate maintenance projects, service work, and repairs to ensure proper utilization and maintenance of all equipment so that costs and downtime are minimized and all equipment is available when needed. Monitor and adjust machines and conveyors to maintain flow and quality of sand Perform emergency and routine maintenance on plant equipment Assist with various construction projects Perform assignments outlined by supervision Be able to use critical thinking and problem solving skills Work safely Willingness to learn new skills Qualification Previous supervisory experience in a field or plant setting is required Demonstrated ability to manage a team to achieve production goals Previous mechanical or operating experience is preferred but not required Ability to read, write and speak English Ability to perform simple math calculation Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders/stairs Ability to work days or nights, 12 hr shifts and OT is required Ability to work OUTSIDE in all conditions Ability to work independently or with a partner Job Posted by ApplicantPro
