Summary The Loan Servicing Representative is responsible for ensuring that the servicing of loans is handled in an efficient and timely manner. The Loan Servicing Representative will perform daily loan servicing activities for residential and consumer products including responding to Credit Bureau disputes timely and accurately, reviewing daily core reports, daily posting of payments received in the mail and addressing discrepancies timely. This position requires the individual to be able to become proficient in the understanding of credit bureau reporting, core system functioning, and reviewing documents and reports for accuracy and completeness. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Boarding Residential, Commercial and Consumer loans on the core system. Assist in construction loan administration, ordering inspections, disbursing funds, issuing extension and expiration letters, and converting the loan to a closed loan on the core system. Placing appraisal orders, reviewing, and follow-up when needed ensuring that they are completed in a timely manner. Correcting new loan setups for both residential mortgage, consumer and commercial loans after QC review to ensure accurate boarding to core system. (regular servicing) Receiving and processing loan payoff and payoff requests. Assisting with the payment of commercial and residential real estate taxes from escrow accounts. Processing payments received by mail and following-up on discrepancies timely and scanning through MICR daily. Logging recorded mortgages and final titles and following up as needed. Processing payments received by mail and scanning through MICR daily. Resolving un-postable items daily. Responsible for administration of mortgage payoffs, satisfactions, and release of liens for residential mortgages and consumer loans. Daily processing of wires. Responsible for file maintaining the core system with address changes and other items as required. Maintaining open lines of communication bank wide as well as with outside entities. Answering customer inquiries regarding existing residential mortgage, consumer and commercial loans both in person and via telephone. Maintaining open lines of communication bank wide as well as with outside entities. Providing back-up for other loan servicing tasks, as needed. Scanning the loan file after closing. Filing, typing and other routine clerical functions as required and assigned. Other tasks and projects as assigned. The Loan Servicing Representative must be an example of the Bank’s Core Values, adhere to all banking policies and procedures, and must participate in bank sponsored community activities and perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Job descriptions and duties may be modified when deemed appropriate by management. Knowledge and Skill Requirements Education and Certification Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Notary required. Experience and Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in banking, specifically in loan servicing. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong telephone skills, along with analytical and organizational skills, customer service experience, ability to work independently and as a team. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. A good understanding of loan application policies and procedures. Willingness to become proficient in new technology platforms as implemented by the bank. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
