Your Elevator Service of Centerville, Utah is seeking a full-time Service Writer / Estimator to quote customers for residential elevator service and maintenance. Are you great with numbers? Do you have exceptional customer service skills? We are offering $17 to $20hr + commission and full-time benefits for this position. ABOUT YOUR ELEVATOR SERVICE Your Elevator Service is a unique company that offers repairs and maintenance for residential elevators . We are the only business in the U.S. that offers this service . Our reach extends to Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, New Mexico. However, Utah has the greatest need for residential elevator services. We are a family-owned company and our owners are highly involved on a routine basis. Because of the owners' constant involvement and our team's hard work and knowledge, we are continuously and rapidly growing! A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SERVICE WRITER/ESTIMATOR As part of our team, you will play an essential role in increasing revenue for our company! Our Service Writer / Estimator position involves creating accurate take-offs for budgets, performing cost comparisons and analysis, and issuing up-front cost estimates for Stairlift installation repairs. When our service technicians are on a maintenance call and the repair is more complex than what the technician can price in the field for, that's when you come in for assistance with ordering a part or parts and quoting an estimate. Other responsibilities of our Service Writer / Estimator include maintaining accurate records for budget adjustments and providing backup documentation for all adjustments made, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, ensuring databases and department/project-related reporting is accurate, and performing variance analyses to maintain correct budgets. This position will assist in controlling and reducing costs and recognizing reoccurring problems/opportunities for improvement and will attend job site walkthroughs and perform other duties as assigned. You will source parts in our warehouse as well as with outside suppliers. Your ability not only to research, estimate, and close, but also to follow up with maintenance and repairs, will ensure your success at our company. QUALIFICATIONS Experience as an Estimator or Service Writer Excellent customer service experience Knowledge of Quick Books, Excel, & Google Professional demeanor Effective multi-tasker Can work in a fast-paced environment Education in a relevant field is a plus!
