Server Assistant - Expo - Food Runner We are looking for an enthusiastic server assistant to join our team and provide support to our servers. The duties of the server assistant include preparing drinks, helping servers with payments, disposing of trash, and sanitizing dining menus. Food runners will be responsible for swiftly bringing food to tables when servers are occupied. At the end of the day, the assistant must clean up after the restaurant. This is a great opportunity to get into the hospitality industry. To be successful, the server assistant must be organized and able to keep up with the fast-paced environment. We are committed to helping our team members reach success, and we encourage growth opportunities from the assistant level. Responsibilities:• Welcoming patrons, escorting them to their tables, and providing them with menus.• Serving complimentary snacks to patrons once they are seated.• Wrapping utensils in napkins accordingly.• Clearing dirty plates, utensils, and glassware from tables as required.• Carrying dirty tableware to the kitchen area.• Preparing tables for arriving patrons by wiping up spills, clearing away crumbs, replacing soiled linen, and setting up tableware, napkins, and condiments.• Delivering food to tables when servers are busy.• Responding to patrons' requests and informing management of any complaints.• Arranging tables and chairs to accommodate larger groups of patrons.• Ensuring that the server station is adequately stocked with necessary restaurant supplies.• Ensuring guests are being served the correct food.• Garnishing each plate correctly. Qualifications:• Sound knowledge of proper food handling procedures.• The ability to work as part of a team.• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.• The ability to stand for extended periods.• Excellent organizational skills.• Effective communication skills.• Exceptional customer service skills.• Speed and efficiency while handling multiple responsibilities.• The ability to stay on task.• Maintaining a clean work environment and cleaning during downtimes.
