Senior Test Engineer Northampton : Must drive due to location Highly Competitive salary plus incredible employee benefits (Sponsorship available if needed for the right candidate) Responsibilities: Design test solutions to characterise optoelectronic components; this includes developing the test software and specifying the hardware/instruments needed. Collaborate with cross functional teams in R and D, product design and manufacturing to develop new test methods/algorithms. Own the test development for a new product from R and D to volume. Transfer test capabilities from R and D into volume manufacturing. Analyse test data to drive yield and process improvements. Ensure solutions meet the quality criteria (Specification, Repeatability, and Accuracy), Dfx goals and maximize capital efficiency. Training and support of manufacturing staff during new product introduction. Part of the role will require spending time in a cleanroom environment. Manufacturing is worldwide and international travelling will be required from time to time. To be considered for this role you will have the following: Degree level or higher qualification in Electrical/Electronic engineering, computer science, physics or related discipline.5 or more years of experience in electrical/electronic and/or semiconductor engineering environment. The role generally has an 70 software / 30 hardware development mix and as such will require relevant experience in Software development using C/C/Vb. Net Understanding of electronic devices and circuits. Test/Measurement instrumentation.
