Senior Software Engineer (On-site) Enterprise Engineering Services (EES) is seeking a qualified candidate for a Senior Software Engineer (ONSITE) position located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey offering a competitive yearly salary of $120 - 125K. EES offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, FSA, HSA, Life Insurance, STD, LTD. SUMMARY EES provides mission-critical engineering support at the William J. Hughes Technical Center, FAA's premier research and test facility, to facilitate the safety and efficiency of Air Traffic Control services on a nation-wide level. EES provides ongoing sustainment and evolution of the supporting infrastructure for the National Airspace System in multiple domain areas. We have an imminent opening for highly qualified candidates with applicable expertise in software engineering to support a real-time air traffic management system. POSITION DESCRIPTION Install new Design Java EE/Jakarta EE software using object-oriented design patterns Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain algorithmic and mathematical solutions. Develop applications to solve highly complex technical challenges Develop test harnesses to support software testing Provide software support for a real-time air traffic management system Debug software problems and provide solutions Develop software requirements Document verification and validation of solution sets and protocols Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures Ensure compliance with software standards BASIC QUALIFICATIONS U.S. Citizen and permanent residency Bachelor's degree (in computer science, engineering, or mathematics) + 10 yrs. related experience Experience using Java /J2EE applications Experience using Java EE/Jakarta EE Experience using C/C++, PERL, Bash Shell Scripting, and Python Experience with Linux Red Hat Software Suite, IBM Rational Team Concert, IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management, GitHub, Docker, and/or Ansible Experience implementing GUIs with Swing Experience with ORM frameworks (Eclipselink, Hibernate) Experience implementing various software life cycles including Agile/Scrum Experience with various software verification approaches including TDD, ATDD and BDD Extensive knowledge of SQL, XML JSON, YAML, and experience with relational databases Demonstrated strength in solving complex problems Cloud experience/certifications a plus Agile experience a plus Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Job Posted by ApplicantPro
