Senior Settlement Accountant

Req ID: 432945 BASIC PURPOSE : Manages the processes that ensure the accuracy of Musket settlements. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Validate and settle AR & AP invoices for various Crude, NGL & Refined products daily. Process intercompany invoices for multiple legal entities. Deal with invoices and journal entries in multiple currencies. Create and maintain desk processes. Prepare monthly balance sheet workpapers related to the areas supervised. Interact with external auditors to assist with completing the year-end audit. After sufficient training, use judgement in directing various invoices for further payment processing. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: HS Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. Experience: 4-5 years’ experience in accounting or finance SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and ability to learn new software. Experience with SolArc RightAngle and SAP is a plus. Experience with VAT and VAT invoicing requirements is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Team work, time management skills, and an ability to be detail oriented also required. The need to deal with a great diversity of people, and the possibility of occasional evening and/or weekend work. Typical Physical Demands: Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
